We were asked by Vít Jedlička, the founder and President of Liberland, to write a national anthem for the brand new country. This not being something you often get asked to do we found a melody and retired to our favourite sushi restaurant in Prague to write some lyrics. This version was recorded in a single take and never meant as more than a rough first draft but has now been used in the documentary Liberland and was mentioned on the New York Times website where it was described as sounding „like Joni Mitchell channeling the economist Milton Friedman.” We are pretty pleased with it so here it is.
